What made our stay memorable: the location — walking distance to tide pools and one of the best surfing spots; the people — Karla, Alberto, Luis, Emmanuel and the whole family accommodated our every request and went above and beyond cooking and serving the best Costa Rican meals, cleaning our rooms and driving us safely around town. The pool and yoga platform kept everyone active and relaxed at the same time, and they even hosted a chess tournament and a bonfire for us at the beach.”

“The beautiful home and bedrooms, each with their own theme, were amazing. Every morning Karla woke up early to make all 15 of us breakfast. She made different options each day and included local Costa Rican food along with a traditional breakfast of eggs, pancakes and cereal. Alberto helped by cleaning up, stocking our water and fixing any problems we had. The pool is large, with a shallow end for hanging out and a deep end for jumping. The property is spacious and includes boogie boards, a workout tiki with equipment, outdoor showers for easy sand cleanup, a very large shaded dining table, ambient lighting at night and yoga mats. There was an abundance of wildlife — iguanas, monkeys, birds and lizards.”

“Karla and Alberto are excellent hosts. They are friendly and even speak some English. Karla is an amazing cook, and Luis is such a fun and friendly handyman too. We loved that each room has its own bathroom. The common areas for kitchen and dining were lovely. The pool was refreshing and it was only a short walk to the beach.”
