How the numbers work

• The rate is for the whole property. $1,360 a night buys all 6 bedrooms and 19 beds — not a per-person rate. Nobody else is on the property while your camp is here.
• Green season is half price. 1 September to 20 November, the nightly rate drops by half. That is also when Playa Avellanas is at its emptiest and the swell is at its most consistent, which is why a camp run in those months carries the best margin of the year.
• The first 16 campers are included. Above that it is $20 per person per day.
• Breakfast is included outside green season. During green season the room is half price and breakfast is $12 per person per day for everyone aged 5 and over. Under-fives eat free.
• Lunch and dinner are $30 per person per day if you want Karla cooking them. Plenty of camps self-cater in the kitchen instead.
• Transfers are $400 per van each way from Liberia for up to 12 people, or $550 per van each way for 15–20. The calculator works out how many vans your group needs.
• Instructors, boards and lessons are yours. We do not take a cut of your camp fee, and we do not sell lessons against you. Your coaching, your pricing, your margin.
